Size and Fuel Flexibility
Tabletop Size
The Baide HOME 32.5-Inch Square Fire Pit Table offers a compact square footprint measuring 32.5 inches in length and width. This size provides over 6.25 inches of table space on each side for placing items. In contrast, the Baide HOME 48-Inch Convertible Fire Table features a significantly larger surface area, with dimensions of 48 inches in length and 24 inches in width. The 48-inch model includes a 7.5-inch-wide edge around the perforated top, offering ample room for drinks and coffee. You will find the larger table better suited for bigger gatherings, while the smaller version fits tighter patio spaces.
Fuel Compatibility
Both units operate on propane, but the Baide HOME 48-Inch Convertible Fire Table adds versatility by including a natural gas conversion kit. This allows you to switch the fuel source if you have a permanent natural gas line. The Baide HOME 32.5-Inch Square Fire Pit Table is listed strictly as a propane unit in its key specifications, with no mention of a conversion kit in its included accessories. If you plan to use natural gas in the future, the 48-inch model provides that option out of the box, whereas the 32.5-inch model remains propane-only based on the available data.
Overall Height
Seating comfort depends on table height. The Baide HOME 32.5-Inch Square Fire Pit Table stands at 14.5 inches tall. This is a lower profile, which may require you to use lower seating or floor cushions to align comfortably with the fire. The Baide HOME 48-Inch Convertible Fire Table is taller, standing at 18 inches. The manufacturer describes this height as comfortable and lower than a standard dining table, making it ideal for pairing with outdoor sofas, lounge chairs, or standard patio seating. The 18-inch height generally offers better ergonomics for most standard outdoor furniture arrangements.
Included Fire Media
The visual style of the flames changes based on the media included. The Baide HOME 32.5-Inch Square Fire Pit Table comes with glass rocks. These typically create a modern, reflective look when the flames dance through them. The Baide HOME 48-Inch Convertible Fire Table includes lava rocks instead. These provide a more rustic, natural aesthetic that complements the stack stone textured base. Both media types are included in the box, so you do not need to purchase additional materials separately. Your choice here depends entirely on whether you prefer the sleek look of glass or the earthy tone of lava rocks.
Tank Placement
How you store the propane tank affects the table's functionality. The Baide HOME 32.5-Inch Square Fire Pit Table uses a separate tank cover table. This accessory arrives in a separate shipment and allows you to hide the 20 lb tank while keeping it accessible. The Baide HOME 48-Inch Convertible Fire Table does not use a separate cover table; instead, it features a pre-attached 10-foot commercial-grade propane hose. The tank is placed outside the fire table itself. The 48-inch model relies on hose length for placement, while the 32.5-inch model offers a dedicated storage furniture piece.
