How these alternatives compare to DUMOS
Sweetcrispy 48,000 BTU Propane Patio Heater
The Sweetcrispy model matches the DUMOS with 48,000 BTU heat output, but it shifts focus to mobility and surface utility. It stands 87 inches tall with a wider 32.1-inch square base, providing a built-in side table that the DUMOS lacks. While the DUMOS relies on a narrow 18.1-inch base filled with sand for stability, the Sweetcrispy uses wheels for easy repositioning. You gain a handy spot for drinks but lose the specific wind-resistance design of the DUMOS sandbox. Choose this if you prioritize a flat surface and frequent movement over anchored stability.
NEWBULIG 48,000 BTU Freestanding Patio Heater
The NEWBULIG offers standard 48,000 BTU propane heating in a mushroom-style design that weighs 33 pounds. It is nearly identical in height to the DUMOS at 87 inches, with a similar 18.1-inch width. However, it lacks the DUMOS’s upgraded sandbox base and automatic tilt shut-off features. You get basic functionality and a brown finish without the premium safety mechanisms or the round table accessory. This model suits buyers who want straightforward heating power without extra features or complex stability systems, prioritizing value over specialized safety controls.
OLIXIS 48,000 BTU Propane Patio Heater
The OLIXIS heater provides 48,000 BTU of warmth with a 304 stainless steel burner, matching the DUMOS’s material quality. It stands 87 inches tall with a compact 17.7-inch square base. Unlike the DUMOS’s sandbox, the OLIXIS includes wheels for mobility and a table top for convenience. It also features automatic safety shut-offs. You trade the DUMOS’s specific wind-resistant base design for easier movement and a built-in surface. This option is best if you want durable construction and safety features but prefer a mobile unit with a usable table surface.
FOOWIN 48,000 BTU Pyramid Propane Patio Heater
The FOOWIN heater delivers 48,000 BTU in a shorter 81.4-inch frame, making it suitable for spaces with lower ceilings. It weighs 50.7 pounds and includes wheels for mobility, contrasting with the DUMOS’s heavier, sand-filled base. The FOOWIN has a wider 20.4-inch square base compared to the DUMOS’s 18.1-inch width. You gain a lighter, more portable unit that does not require filling the base with sand. This choice is ideal for medium patios where the DUMOS’s height is unnecessary and you prefer wheeled mobility over anchored stability.
JULARO 89-Inch 48,000 BTU Pyramid Patio Heater
The JULARO features a distinct pyramid design and stands 89 inches tall, slightly higher than the DUMOS. It weighs 88 pounds, significantly more than the DUMOS’s 32.1 pounds, due to its solid construction. It provides 48,000 BTU of heat with a 21-inch square base. You get a unique aesthetic and substantial stability without needing to fill a sandbox. However, it lacks the DUMOS’s automatic shut-off and table features. This model fits buyers who value visual distinction and heavy, static stability over lightweight mobility and automated safety controls.
Nexgrill Sundara 92-Inch Propane Patio Heater
The Nexgrill Sundara reaches 92 inches in height, making it taller than the DUMOS. It offers 48,000 BTU of heat with a 32-inch square base, providing a wider footprint. It weighs 40.8 pounds and uses manual controls rather than the DUMOS’s automatic safety systems. You gain easy tank access and a larger base area but lose the automatic tilt shut-off and the DUMOS’s specific stability features. This heater suits those who prefer manual operation and a robust steel build, prioritizing tank accessibility and height over automated safety mechanisms.
