Who it fits
Good fit for
This fire table suits homeowners who want a dual-purpose piece for their patio. The 50,000 BTU output works well for cooling evenings where you need reliable heat. The included lid makes it ideal for groups who want to use the surface for drinks or snacks when the fire is off. The solid steel build and included waterproof cover appeal to those seeking low-maintenance outdoor furniture that withstands weather without constant upkeep.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a portable heater, as this unit weighs 70 pounds and is not designed for easy movement. If you prefer a round fire pit, this rectangular shape may not fit your existing patio layout. The propane tank is not included, so you must budget for fuel separately. Additionally, if you want a model with a different height or color option like walnut, you will need to select a specific variation from the available choices.
Verdict: The Shintenchi 45-Inch Steel Propane Fire Table offers a sturdy, high-output solution for patios that need both heat and table space. Its included accessories make it a practical, ready-to-use addition to your outdoor living area.
Key specs explained
Heat Output: 50,000 BTU
This rating indicates the energy released by the burner. You get strong warmth for cold evenings. This level suits medium patios with moderate seating. It is higher than basic 30,000 BTU models. Check if your space needs this intensity. Higher output means faster heating but also higher propane use. Compare this to your local climate needs.
Table Length: 45 inches
This dimension defines the horizontal surface area. You have room for plates and drinks. The size fits four to six people comfortably. It is larger than standard 30-inch tables. Ensure your patio has enough clearance. A 45-inch length provides a central focal point. Measure your space before buying. This size balances heat distribution and table utility.
Construction Material: Solid steel
Steel provides structural strength and durability. It withstands outdoor weather better than thin metals. You get a stable table that resists wobbling. This material supports the weight of food and glass. It requires maintenance to prevent rust over time. Compare this to aluminum or cast iron options. Solid steel offers a good balance of strength and cost.
Included Accessories: Lid, glass wind guard, waterproof cover
These items add functionality and protection. The lid turns the fire pit into a dining table. The wind guard keeps flames steady and safe. The cover protects the unit from rain when stored. You save money buying these separately. They enhance safety and versatility. Check if other models include these essentials. This bundle makes the unit ready for immediate use.
Design and build overview
The Shintenchi 45-Inch Steel Propane Fire Table is constructed from solid steel. This material choice suggests durability for outdoor environments, though the listing notes it requires a waterproof cover for storage and protection against the elements. The unit measures 45 inches in length, 22 inches in width, and 24.5 inches in height. It weighs 70 pounds, which provides stability but means you will need assistance to move it around your patio. The rectangular shape offers a generous surface area when the lid is installed, allowing you to use it as a functional table for food and drinks.
According to the listing, the design includes a removable lid that transforms the fire pit into a serving table. This dual-purpose layout maximizes utility in smaller spaces. The interior features crystal clear glass stones that reflect the flame, adding visual interest. A glass wind guard is included to protect the flame from breezes, ensuring consistent heat output. The finish is black, which complements the steel construction. The model number is R9016S. This configuration suits users who want a central gathering point that serves multiple functions. The steel body and included accessories indicate a focus on practical outdoor living rather than pure aesthetics.
Setup and everyday use guide
Setting up this Shintenchi fire table involves assembling the solid steel frame and placing the included crystal clear glass stone media into the burner area. The unit measures 45 inches in length and 24.5 inches in height, providing a stable rectangular surface. You must connect a standard propane tank, which is not included, to the valve system. The listing specifies a glass wind guard is included to protect the flame from drafts, ensuring consistent heat output of 50,000 BTU. For daily use, the dual-function design allows you to switch between heating and dining modes. Removing the lid reveals the burner for warmth, while placing the lid on creates a flat surface for food and drinks. The waterproof cover provided helps protect the steel construction from rain when the unit is not in use. This cover is essential for maintaining the finish, as the steel material is susceptible to outdoor weather elements. The 70-pound weight suggests the table is sturdy but may require two people to move it for cleaning or storage. You can adjust the flame intensity using the control knob, allowing you to manage the heat level for your specific needs. The glass wind guard also serves as a safety barrier, preventing accidental contact with the open flame. Regular maintenance involves cleaning the glass stones and wiping down the steel surface. The included accessories streamline the setup process, reducing the need for additional purchases. This configuration suits patios where you want a central heating element that doubles as functional furniture. The 45-inch length accommodates multiple users, making it suitable for social gatherings. Ensure the propane connection is secure before igniting the burner to maintain safety during operation.
Before you buy this unit
You need a standard propane tank, as the listing does not include one. Check your local regulations regarding open flames and propane usage in your area. The solid steel construction requires regular cleaning to prevent rust, especially if left exposed. Use the included waterproof cover when not in use to protect the finish. This table offers heat and ambiance, differing from simple tube heaters that provide only warmth. It also differs from chimineas by being smokeless and easier to maintain. Ensure your patio space can accommodate the 45-inch length and 70-pound weight. The glass wind guard helps keep flames steady in breezy conditions. Consider the maintenance effort required for the steel surface. This unit suits those who want a dual-purpose furniture piece that also heats. It fits well in medium-sized outdoor areas where conversation is key.
