6 Best Alternatives to the Solo Stove Infinity Flame 42" Propane (2026)

How each alternative compares

Ciays 42-Inch Propane Fire Pit Table

The Ciays 42-Inch Propane Fire Pit Table offers 60,000 BTUs, which is 12,000 BTUs less than the Solo Stove Infinity Flame. It shares the same 42-inch diameter but stands slightly taller at 24.4 inches compared to the Solo Stove’s 20 inches. This model uses lava rocks instead of fire glass, changing the visual effect from a smokeless flame to a rocky ember bed. It weighs 65 pounds, making it heavier and less portable than the Solo Stove. Choose this if you prefer the lava rock aesthetic and need a larger surface area for tall items, but accept slightly lower heat output.

Ciays 42-Inch Propane Fire Pit Table

This Ciays 42-Inch model also delivers 60,000 BTUs, falling short of the Solo Stove’s 72,000 BTU capacity. It matches the 42-inch width but differs in height, standing at 24 inches versus the Solo Stove’s 20 inches. Like the other Ciays option, it lacks the specific black pearl fire glass and instant ignition features listed for the Solo Stove. It is constructed from steel and weighs 65 pounds. This alternative suits buyers who want a large tabletop for serving food and drinks in stationary settings, prioritizing surface utility over the highest possible heat intensity or the specific flame design of the Solo Stove.

Ciays 28-Inch 50,000 BTU Gas Fire Pit Table

The Ciays 28-Inch model reduces the footprint significantly with a 28-inch diameter, compared to the Solo Stove’s 42 inches. Heat output drops to 50,000 BTUs, which is 22,000 BTUs less than the original. It is shorter at 25 inches high and weighs 57.8 pounds. This compact size fits small patios where the larger Solo Stove would dominate the space. It includes accessories like cup holders, adding practical value for casual use. Select this alternative if your primary constraint is space, and you are willing to trade raw heat and surface area for a unit that fits tighter seating arrangements.

SereneLife 28-Inch Square Propane Fire Pit

The SereneLife 28-Inch Square Propane Fire Pit offers only 40,000 BTUs, significantly less than the Solo Stove’s 72,000 BTUs. Its square shape and 28-inch dimensions provide a different aesthetic and footprint than the round 42-inch Solo Stove. It uses lava rocks and weighs 55 pounds. The rattan material gives it a distinct look compared to the steel and stainless steel construction of the Solo Stove. This option is best for small patios where space is at a premium. It sacrifices substantial heat output and the large, round tabletop utility of the Solo Stove in favor of a compact, dual-purpose table design.

Ciays 24-Inch Propane Fire Pit with Grill Grate

The Ciays 24-Inch model is much smaller, with a 24-inch diameter versus the Solo Stove’s 42 inches. It produces 58,000 BTUs, which is 14,000 BTUs less than the original. Its height is only 9.45 inches, making it a low-profile unit compared to the 20-inch Solo Stove. It weighs just 37 pounds, offering better portability for camping or small decks. This alternative includes a cooking grate, a feature not listed for the Solo Stove. Choose this if you need a portable heating solution that also supports cooking, and you do not require the large surface area or maximum heat output of the Solo Stove.

Amazon Basics 19-inch Propane Fire Pit

The Amazon Basics 19-inch Propane Fire Pit is the smallest option, with a 19-inch diameter compared to the Solo Stove’s 42 inches. It delivers 55,000 BTUs, which is 17,000 BTUs less than the original. It is very short at 10.2 inches high and weighs only 19.8 pounds, making it highly portable. This round, black unit is designed for small patios or easy transport. It lacks the large tabletop surface and premium materials of the Solo Stove. Pick this alternative if your main goal is basic warmth in a compact, lightweight package, and you do not need a large surface for serving or the high heat output of the Solo Stove.
