Fuel, Heat, and Design Compared
Fuel type
Sunnydaze Decor uses wood as its fuel source, offering a traditional outdoor fire experience. You need to gather and store firewood, and manage ash after each use. Ciays relies on propane gas, connecting directly to a standard tank for instant heat. Gas provides consistent, adjustable flames without the mess of charcoal or wood residue. If you prefer the ambiance of a real wood fire, Sunnydaze is the choice. If you want quick ignition and easy cleanup, Ciays offers a cleaner, more convenient option for your patio.
Heat output
Ciays specifies a heat output of 60,000 BTU, delivering substantial warmth for larger gatherings. This high output helps keep food warm and provides comfort in cooler evenings. Sunnydaze Decor does not list a specific BTU rating in its published specifications. Wood fires vary in intensity based on the type of wood and airflow. While Ciays guarantees a measurable heat level, Sunnydaze relies on the natural burn of logs. For predictable, high-heat performance, Ciays has the clear advantage based on available data.
Design and function
Sunnydaze Decor is a standalone fire pit bowl with a 36-inch diameter. It sits low to the ground, creating a communal gathering spot for six to eight people. Ciays is a fire pit table, measuring 42 inches with a lid. It functions as both a heat source and a surface for drinks and snacks. The table design keeps items off the ground, adding utility to your patio setup. If you want a traditional fire ring, choose Sunnydaze. If you need a multi-purpose table, Ciays is superior.
Build and weight
Sunnydaze Decor is constructed from 24-gauge steel, weighing 29 pounds. This lighter weight allows one person to carry it easily by the outer ring. Ciays features a steel lid and body, weighing 65 pounds. The heavier build suggests more stability but makes it difficult to move once placed. Sunnydaze includes a spark screen and poker for safety and maintenance. Ciays includes lava rocks and a steel lid for coverage. For portability, Sunnydaze is easier to handle. For permanent placement, Ciays offers a sturdier feel.
Included accessories
Sunnydaze Decor comes with a spark screen, fire poker, and a weather-resistant cover. These items address safety and protection directly out of the box. The spark screen contains embers, while the poker helps manage the fire. Ciays includes a steel lid and lava rocks. The lid covers the burner when not in use, protecting the gas components. Lava rocks enhance the visual appeal of the flames. Sunnydaze provides more tools for active fire management. Ciays focuses on covering and aesthetics. Both brands provide essential accessories for their respective designs.
