Ciays vs ReeQuo Specs Compared
Heat output
Both the Ciays and ReeQuo fire tables provide the same maximum heat output of 50,000 BTU. This specification indicates the thermal energy each unit generates per hour. You will find that both models deliver identical warming power for your patio space. The Ciays steel construction and the ReeQuo composite bowl both support this heat level effectively. Since the BTU rating is identical, neither product holds an advantage in raw heating capacity. You can expect similar warmth from either choice, making this a neutral comparison point for your outdoor heating needs.
Construction material
The Ciays model is built from steel, offering a traditional metal look and feel. It weighs 57 pounds and stands 25 inches high. In contrast, the ReeQuo unit uses a composite material called Terra Fab, which combines mineral powder and glass fiber. This ReeQuo table is heavier at 77 pounds but sits lower at 14.5 inches in height. The steel design provides a classic aesthetic, while the composite material offers distinct durability traits. You must decide if you prefer the lighter steel frame or the heavier, more modern composite bowl for your specific patio environment.
Table size
Size differences are clear between these two options. The Ciays fire table measures 28 inches by 28 inches, providing a square surface area. The ReeQuo model features a larger diameter of 31.5 inches in a round shape. This extra width on the ReeQuo unit may offer slightly more perimeter space for seating or placing items near the flame. The Ciays square design might fit better in corners or against walls. You should measure your available patio space carefully. The larger footprint of the ReeQuo could be beneficial if you have a wide open area, while the Ciays suits tighter spots.
Fuel compatibility
Fuel flexibility is a key differentiator here. The Ciays fire table is listed specifically as a propane-only unit. You will need to connect a standard propane tank to operate it. The ReeQuo table, however, is convertible. It comes with a natural gas orifice and can run on either propane or natural gas. This dual-fuel capability gives you more installation options if you have a permanent gas line nearby. If you rely solely on propane tanks, both work equally well. However, if you want the option to hook up to natural gas, the ReeQuo provides that versatility without requiring additional purchases.
Included accessories
The accessories included with each unit vary significantly. The Ciays package includes a pit lid to cover the fire bowl when not in use. The ReeQuo set is more comprehensive. It includes a burner lid, a matching tank cover that also serves as a side table, a tank holder, a PVC weather cover, a touch-up pen, and 13 pounds of lava rock. The Ciays data mentions lava rocks in the features but does not explicitly list them as included accessories in the specs. The ReeQuo bundle provides more items for immediate setup and protection, adding value through the included weather cover and tank management solutions.
Ignition type
The ignition methods differ between the two brands. The Ciays description emphasizes simplicity, stating you just connect the tank and use the external control. It does not specify an electronic ignition system in the provided data. The ReeQuo unit highlights an electronic ignition with auto safety shut-off. This feature allows for easy, push-button starting without manual lighting. The auto shut-off adds a layer of safety convenience. If you prefer a simple manual setup, Ciays works. If you want the convenience of electronic ignition and automatic safety features, the ReeQuo model offers this modern functionality.
Which Ciays or ReeQuo fits you
You want a standard table height
The Ciays stands 25 inches tall. This height lets you sit comfortably while keeping drinks and food on the 28-inch steel surface. The ReeQuo sits at only 14.5 inches. That low profile suits a coffee table style but is less ideal for dining. Choose Ciays for ergonomic seating.
You need natural gas flexibility
The ReeQuo supports propane and natural gas conversion. It includes a natural gas orifice for easy switching. The Ciays lists propane only. If you plan to connect to a fixed gas line later, the ReeQuo offers that versatility without needing extra adapters or professional modifications.
You prefer a round concrete design
The ReeQuo uses a round shape and concrete composite material. This creates a modern bowl look. The Ciays is square and made of steel. If you want a circular centerpiece that blends with contemporary architecture, the ReeQuo fits. The steel construction of Ciays offers a different aesthetic.
You want a matching tank cover
The ReeQuo includes a dedicated tank cover that doubles as a side table. It hides the 20-pound propane tank neatly. The Ciays includes a pit lid but no separate tank storage unit. If keeping your fuel source out of sight matters, the ReeQuo provides that integrated storage solution.
